This list illustrates Bitcoin's increasing acceptance among corporations globally, showcasing the diversity of holdings across different regions and sectors.

United States

The United States tops the list with a variety of companies, including software giants and mining firms. Leading the charge is MicroStrategy, holding an impressive 444,262 BTC, accumulated since its initial Bitcoin purchases in 2020. Major mining companies like Marathon Digital and Riot Platforms also play significant roles in the U.S. total. Notably:

  • Marathon Digital raised $1.925 billion to acquire 15,574 BTC for around $98,529 per BTC.
  • Riot Platforms increased its holdings to 17,429 BTC, valued at approximately $1.8 billion.
  • Tesla holds 9,720 BTC, while other companies like Coinbase, Block, and Cleanspark further diversify the landscape.

Canada

Canadian companies are making significant progress in Bitcoin adoption, especially in mining and blockchain sectors. Hut 8 leads with 10,096 BTC, followed by Hive Digital and DMG Blockchain, both emphasizing sustainable mining. For instance:
