Summary:

  • Bitcoin may reach $10 million per coin, according to Robert Kiyosaki.

  • Kiyosaki cites the U.S. debt crisis as a key driver for Bitcoin's potential rise.

  • Only 21 million Bitcoins will ever exist, creating scarcity.

  • Critics question the realism of a $10 million price tag for Bitcoin.

  • Adding a small amount of Bitcoin to your portfolio may be wise for long-term investors.

Even though Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) is struggling to stay above the $60,000 mark, many investors believe its price could skyrocket to $100,000 by the end of the year. Personal finance guru Robert Kiyosaki, known for his book Rich Dad Poor Dad, predicts that Bitcoin could soar by 16,000%, potentially reaching $10 million per coin.

Bitcoin's $10 Million Price Scenario

Kiyosaki's bullish stance stems from the increasing U.S. debt, currently sitting at $35 trillion and rising by $1 trillion approximately every 100 days. This unsustainable debt may force the U.S. to print vast amounts of money, leading to a potential hyperinflationary spiral.

Kiyosaki argues that, in the event of a dollar collapse, investors will seek alternative stores of value, with Bitcoin being a prime candidate due to its finite supply of only 21 million coins. This scarcity, combined with the algorithmic control over Bitcoin creation, distinguishes it from fiat currencies.

Is Bitcoin "Perfect Money"?

Kiyosaki is not alone in his price prediction. Michael Saylor, founder of MicroStrategy Inc. (NASDAQ: MSTR), has also forecasted Bitcoin reaching $10 million and later increased his estimate to $13 million. Saylor describes Bitcoin as "perfect money", contrasting it with the imperfect U.S. dollar, highlighting its finite supply and decentralization.

How Realistic is a $10 Million Price for Bitcoin?

While many acknowledge Bitcoin's potential, opinions vary on its future valuation and timeline. Critics note that the $10 million price tag seems implausible, suggesting it would require more than 25% of the world’s wealth to be invested in Bitcoin, effectively rendering other assets worthless.

Bitcoin for the Long Haul

While the $10 million prediction is ambitious, I remain bullish on Bitcoin's long-term potential, expecting its value to double by the end of 2025. For long-term investors, adding a small amount of Bitcoin to their portfolio may be a prudent move.
